Welcome! We are so glad that you're here, and we look forward to meeting face-to-face for our first indoor service since March.

TIMING AND OPTIONS

We plan to resume holding services inside the church building on this Sunday, October 18th.

CONCERNING TIMING AND ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Our worship service will continue to start at 10:30 AM.
  • Sunday School will continue on Zoom, for the time being, beginning at 9:00.
  • We will also be continuing our live stream of the service on Facebook and YouTube for those of you who will prefer to join us from another location. Please let us know if you need any technical help for joining us online.

BEFORE ATTENDING

When we open the church doors for corporate worship, please keep the following in mind before coming to church. If any of the following conditions apply to you, please remain home for rest and recovery. Join us via our live stream feeds at the links on our homepage.

  • If you are ill, please contact the Elder team so that we may lift you in prayer or meet any other needs you may have.
  • If you have a temperature above 100.4°, a medical indicator of infection, please stay home this week.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID, or have had COVID-like symptoms, please observe a 14- day quarantine after all symptoms have cleared
  • If you have had suspected or confirmed COVID contact, please observe a 14-day quarantine with no symptoms

UPON ARRIVAL AT THE CHURCH:

  • Each attendee will be screened for temperature – if you have a temperature above 100.4°, you will be asked to return home to rest and recuperate. We know this is seen as intrusive by some people, but we do it out of concern and respect for one another. Fever is an indication of illness. This is one way for us to directly keep infection from our fellowship.
  • Please enter only through the main entrance or the kitchen entrance. The kitchen entrance will be reserved for those who want to use our mask-only area.
  • Masks are required when entering, exiting, and moving about the building. Masks are optional while seated.
  • The Fellowship Hall will be designated as a Mask-Only room during the service. If you would like to join us in person but would prefer a space where everyone is wearing a mask, we will provide socially distanced spacing here, as well as making it a mask-only space. The service will be streamed live via the television. You should enter through the kitchen door if you would like to use this space.
  • Indicator stickers will be available upon entry. Please take a sticker that reflects your preference for interaction that morning, then note and respect the preferences of others.
    • Red – Please mask and distance for interaction
    • Yellow – Please distance for interaction
    • Green – No concerns Once You Are Inside
  • Bulletins and any other handouts will be placed in the pews prior to the service.
  • Interior doors will be propped open before and after service to minimize contact.
  • Stationery boxes and/or plates will be utilized for tithes and offerings – you may also continue to make your tithes and offerings through PayPal.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the building.
  • Social distancing will be observed. We encourage families (or those who have close contact) to sit together in pews.
  • Usher(s) will be available to assist in maintaining social distancing in seating.
  • Our Service Service time will be shortened to approximately 45 minutes in order to limit the amount of time of possible exposure.
  • We will be singing two songs together each week. Songs will be sung at the end of the service, again, to limit exposure. An opportunity will be provided for those who wish to depart prior to singing.
  • An opportunity will be provided after benediction for those who wish to depart prior to a full dismissal.

Please continue to be in prayer over this process and feel free to contact the Elder Team (Pastor Dave, Ron Long, Ezra Nafziger, Robin Nafziger) with any questions or concerns. elders@vincentmc.org
