Vincent Mennonite Church is aware of the current situation with the COVID-19 Coronavirus and we have taken steps to help stop the spread. We will continue to monitor the constantly changing situation. Please continue to check-in here and on our FaceBook Page for new information.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER BY

PRACTICING THE FOLLOWING GOOD HEALTH HABITS

What you need to

If you, or someone you have been in contact with, is experiencing fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath, please avoid contact with the public and seek medical attention.

We have great news! The day is finally here. It is time to come back together for community worship! Our reopening team has determined a process that is in compliance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for reopening for church activities in a safe and responsible way. (The Commonwealth has not placed any legal restrictions on church services.)

Because the Coronavirus will still be around, we will continue to manage our response to it and do our part to not allow it to flare up again. Please continue to check-in here and on our Facebook page for new information.

With that said...

Each Sunday this summer we will gather in our Grove at 10:30 AM. There is plenty of room to spread out, both under our pavilion and in the shade of the surrounding trees.

WHAT TO EXPECT SUNDAY MORNING

  • The Worship Service will begin at 10:30 AM (This is different from our usual 10 AM start time)
  • We will meet in the picnic grove. As the Grove is in a wooded and grassy area, the ground is not paved and slightly unstable
  • Any changes due to weather will be posted here and on our Facebook page. Services will be live-streamed Sunday mornings and available for on-demand viewing shortly after that.
  • The service will be shorter than usual - about 45-50 minutes long
  • Feel free to enjoy our picnic tables, or bring your own camping chairs, lawn chairs or blankets and pick your own spot in the plentiful shade

WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT OF US

  • We will be taking temperatures with non-contact thermometers as people arrive. We will be as quick as possible with as little intrusion as possible. Please be patient with us as we enact this new safety measure. We are new at this.
  • Masks are not required but we will have extra masks available if anyone would like one.
  • Plenty of hand sanitizer will be available.
  • Restrooms will be available

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

  • If you feel unwell in any way, please wait and come another time when you are in good health. Services will be live-streamed on Youtube and on our Facebook page for anyone who chooses to join us from home.
  • We ask that you sit in family groups. There will be no childcare this week, so please keep your children with you at all times. We will be offering childcare in the coming weeks, as we are able.
  • Please observe physical distancing.
  • Dress casually - the picnic grove and pavilion are rustic with rough wooden picnic tables for seating. Please feel free to bring your own lawn chair or camping chair instead!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

We look forward to seeing you in person when you are ready. In the meantime, please continue to stay connected with us online.
